Thick PU foam padded bra refers to a support bra that uses dense polyurethane foam material as the chest filling layer. Its core features include an integrally molded thickened pad, a cup-shaped structure that fits the curve of the human body, and a non-breathable polymer material matrix.

The heat load problem of thick PU foam padded bra stems from the physical nature of the material. The cell wall structure of polyurethane closed-cell foam hinders the free flow of air, and the heat accumulation rate depends on the thickness and density parameters of the foam. The moisture emitted by the human body during wearing is limited by the moisture absorption rate of the material, and mainly relies on the surface of the fabric for limited evaporation. The thickened design provides a sense of volume while expanding the skin contact area, further limiting the efficiency of local microclimate exchange.


Modern production technology alleviates the stuffiness caused by thick PU foam padded bra through physical structure improvement. A breathable channel grid is added to the inner side of the cup body, and the back buckle is spliced with a breathable mesh material to achieve limited air convection. Some products incorporate open-cell structures into the foam matrix to promote moisture vapor conduction, but the thickness of the material still constitutes the main factor in thermal insulation.
